Buchards Jewelers Watch Battery Policy
Buchards Jewelers guarantees the quality of the batteries for our customers. Buchards Jewelers will guarantee that you will receive a fully charged battery for your timepiece when you leave our store. We cannot guarantee when a customer walks in with a non-functioning watch that just a battery will be the only repair the timepiece needs to get it running again.
These are a few signs that your timepiece may need more repairs than just a battery:
- Corrosion around the case and band
- Water spots on the inside of the crystal / on the dial
- Water vapor forms on inside of the watch crystal
- Corrosion on the inside of the movement
- When setting the time you can hear a grinding noise
- When setting the time the hands do not advance
- The crown and stem comes completely out when trying to set the time.
- The battery is drained within a few days or weeks of installation
- If the watch has sat dormant for weeks/months/years the timepiece may need a cleaning
If the watch runs but stops shortly after a battery replacement Buchards Jewelers will test the battery. If the battery is drained after a few days or weeks then there is an issue with the circuitry and Buchards is not responsible for the drained battery.
